Last week was London Collections Men, which is London’s prestigious men’s fashion week. Sadly, I could not be there in person, (one day though!) but I dug through my usual channels and rounded up a few brands that I liked from the shows. I’m going to be real, some were dope, some not so dope, and some were just outright ridiculous! There’s thinking outside of the box on some next level-ish, and then there’s not even acknowledging the box! A brand or two were definitely biting from your boy Demna Gvasalia (I very much dislike that oversized-sleeve crap). I will say, however, that all these London designers are very much in touch with their London, (yes, I meant to say that) and their brands reflect the various cultural aspects of the British, from street to refined. Check out the eclectic mix of brands/looks below!Astrid Andersen
These are four of the looks from Andersen’s SS17 collection. The vibe: very sporty and a muted color palette of mostly greys, blues, some hints of black and another other color I’m not sure of. She also made a dive into womenswear, as well. Dope stuff, overall. I like it!
Agi & Saam
I don’t know much about this brand, but it definitely falls into the refined category. The vibe: bespoke-type cuts and lots of prints; clean with a varied color palette. Looks quite expensive as well!
Mazhar’s collection was pretty dope. There were some interesting looks, as well as an eclectic mix of models, as well. The women in these pieces look more bada$$ than the men. Cool stuff!
These are just some snippets of the brands that were presented at LCM. There is much more talent and weirdness where the above came from. Click on the link below to see the full roster of brands and view all the featured collections.
